Won't take nothing but a memory.

[H&M cardigan, Urban Outfitters tank, Forever 21 skirt, mom's heels]

The good ol' summer days are gone. The work force was thrust upon me as I "had" to work for my mom at an open house. Luckily, only two couples showed up to the house. Perfect time to catch up on my daily tenacious reading of the great Bergdorf Blondes. Anywho, to the outfit.... Utilitarian army green pleated skirt belted to give a bucket silhouette was paired with a shock of mustard yellow (my personal fave). Paired with camel hued thick t-strap heels. Excellent ensemble for the working girl.

Just before I headed out for the humid night in Houston, I decided to take a little snap at it. Literally. By means of camera. Going to a college party with a majority of squealing younger kids (don't take offense... not generalized... these kids just,to be honest, stink on ice) who don't know how to handle their liquor... bad idea to attend. To say the least. Good thing my posse arrived fashionably late ;) Anywho, lately I've been digging ballet vibe. Hence the pointe-like sandals and ruffled "tutu" skirt. I guess Art History got to me. Exhibit A: Master of his craft, Edgar Degas. Plopped on a slouchy striped jersey top... I'm good to go. Lesson learned: Continue dressing, stop spending weekends with randos. Got it.

Mood Board

Find me on Polyvore

[Parisian chic in the summertime. With hints of bold, rough metal cuffs and statement neck pieces of course. I'm really taken by the eye catching print of the Giuseppe Zannoti cheetah clogs paired with a simplistic, sheer tank. In all: Minimal-feminine chic with light touch of rough/bold in accessories. Can't go wrong. Enough said.]

Sweet Nothings

Little Bo Pink

[Cover Magazine]
Pretty in pinks. Military cargo textures toughen up the youthfulness of the eyelets and crisp whites.

Givenchy Fall 2010

[Givenchy Fall 2010]

Exoskeletons. Getting back to haute couture's wholesome core. Where the magic all began. Quite literally, Givenchy's skulled and crystalized embroidery gives the gowns some dynamic dimensionality. Pale rose white crisped the lovely bones. The skeletal motif was said to be inspired by the bushy eye-browed, yet soulful painter Frida Kahlo. The worship of death brings forth the worship of life. Couture reborn. Right on, Givenchy, right on.
